New Jersey lottery player wins $1,000 a week for life in Cash4Life

One New Jerseyan will be getting $1,000 a week for life after winning Cash4Life on Tuesday.

The lottery player, who won using the third-party Jackpocket app, matched the five white balls in the Cash4Life drawing, the New Jersey Lottery announced. Jackpocket is based in New Jersey in Hewitt.

"We're excited to award this lucky player with a $1,000 a week for life prize, and can't wait to hear how this will benefit them in the years to come," said New Jersey Lottery Executive Director James Carey.

The Cash4Life numbers drawn on Tuesday, Sept. 5 were: 07, 19, 43, 54 and 56 with Cash Ball 01.

Cash4Life, which is available in nine states, offers players a chance to win $1,000 a day for life or $1,000 a week for life as a second-tier prize, as well as seven other prize levels. The game costs $2 and players select five numbers from one to 60. The game is available in New Jersey as well as Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Virginia.

Jackpocket is a third-party lottery app that allows people to play official state lotteries via their phone. States where Jackpocket can be used are: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Washington, DC and West Virginia.
