'Jersey Shore' cast has advice for Jets QB Aaron Rodgers: Don't pump gas, pump fists

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has a Situation.

“Jersey Shore” cast member Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is primed for Rodgers to take over as quarterback of the Jets after the four-time NFL MVP said he was a huge fan of the show.

“Aaron Rodgers is a legend in the game and now that he's in Jersey, listen, we're so excited. We're so happy,” said Sorrentino to TMZ Sports. “Jersey, stand up!”

Rodgers revealed he's a fan of MTV's “Jersey Shore” during a May 23 press conference at the team's Florham Park training facility.

“It’s phenomenal,” said Rodgers of the show.

Sorrentino has advice for Rodgers now that he'll be spending some time in Jersey. The Jets play their home games at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.

“First off all, in Jersey, we don't pump our gas, we pump our fists,” Sorrentino said. “There is another phrase, yield or die. The Jersey drivers are very aggressive. Now that we got Rodgers, it's only right that we get 'Jersey Shore' in the building to support as well.”

Maybe a sit down with Rodgers at a Jersey eatery is in the offing.

“Everybody knows when you come to Jersey, you're probably going to get the best pizzas, the best bacon, egg and cheese, the best Italian," said Sorrentino, a native of Manalapan who lives in Holmdel. "So he's in a really good place, so we're very happy for him as well.”

Rodgers went to the May 27 Taylor Swift concert at MetLife. “Jersey Shore” cast member Jennifer “JWoww” Farley went to the May 28 show, according to her social media
