Jersey Shore Family Vacation recap: Is Vinny stringing Angelina along?

When Vinny Guadagnino says no, does he mean yes? .

The on-again, off-again romance between Vinny and fellow “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” cast member Angelina Pivarnick is a prominent storyline once again early on Season 6. The two were very flirty on the Thursday, Feb. 16 episode.

How flirty? Angelia gave Vinny two lap dances and the two cooked breakfast in a lakehouse on the banks of Lake Norman in North Carolina, where the cast has decamped for Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino's upcoming cornhole tournament.

Despite the flirting, Vinny is still keeping Angelina at arms length when it comes to romance. Arms length, that is, when Angelina is not straddling his torso.

“If Vinny was full blown, all in, I would date Vinny — full blown,” said Angelina in a confessional with Jenni “JWoww” Farley.

“Wow,” Jenni said. “I am speechless.”

Vinny and Angelina hooked up, one time, on Season 2 of “Jersey Shore.” Since then there's been tension between the two. Fellow cast members call it a “Staten Island romance,” referring to their hometown.

Much of the second half of Season 5 centered of the two, and now on Season 6 it's a storyline again. Vinny has dismissed the chances of the two reuniting.

“Everybody wants that,” said Vinny previously to ET. “Absolutely no. I mean, she's cool, but nah. There's no romantic connection there.”

On the show, Vinny sings a different tune.

“Her personality is very aggressive but if Angelina ever softened up a little bit, anything is possible,” Vinny said. “That can happen one day.”

Is that Staten Island for yes?

“I am trying to play along,” Vinny said. “I am single. I'm trying to be friendly with Angelina. There's a friction. It's very tense.”

Angelina is recently divorced. Her marriage and separation were prominent storylines on the show.

A houseguest also named Vinny, who's also from Staten Island, was referred to last season, and Vinny Guadagnino brought him up during a game of Truth or Dare on Thursday's episode, wanting to know the status of Vinny the houseguest's relationship with Angelina.

“Vinny (Guadagnino) is prying into my love life, which is very flattering and cute,” Angelina said. “He likes me!”

At this point, it appears Vinny is stringing Angelina along. Maybe the pressure of developing a storyline on the show has something to do with it. After all, Vinny and Angelina are the only two unattached roomies left, and inter-cast dynamics have made the show tick for more than a decade.

They're the last two standing. Pauly DelVecchio said that he'd “maybe” have a child with his girlfriend, Nikki Hall, during Thursday's Truth or Dare game.

“Vinny and Angelina can be so weird because one minute they could be fighting, then playful, then flirting and now they're just being normal, cooking breakfast together at the stove,” said Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. “It's like the (blanking) Twilight Zone. You never know how they're going to react to each other.”
