Jessica Jaymes' Cause of Death Deferred After Adult Film Star's Autopsy

The autopsy on porn star Jessica Jaymes has been completed, but investigators need to wait on more tests in order to determine exactly how the starlet died.

According to the L.A. County Medical Examiner, the autopsy on James has been completed and her body was released to her family.

Officials have listed her death as "deferred" pending the toxicity report once all the results come in from the lab.

As we reported, 43-year-old Jaymes was found dead Tuesday at her home after her ex-husband became worried after she had not responded to calls.

Law enforcement sources told The Blast emergency services received a call at 4:15 PM on Tuesday for an unconscious and unresponsive female at a home in the San Fernando Valley.

Jaymes was pronounced dead at the scene, and sources familiar with the ongoing death investigation told us Jaymes had a history of seizures.

Multiple prescription medication bottles were collected at the scene for testing, but it's unclear if they played a part in her death.

Jaymes began her career in the adult entertainment industry back in 2002 and quickly rose to become a fan favorite.

Along with the sex industry, she carved out a well-known name for herself in mainstream media, making appearances on "Weeds," "VH1's Celebrity Rehab Sober House" and even, "The Howard Stern Show."

Hailing from Alaska, Jaymes was originally an elementary school teacher before exploring the adult industry.

She was also the first adult film star to get inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame.
