Jessie J offers update after health scare with Meniere’s disease

Jessie J has offered fans an update on her well-being after revealing that she had a health scare on Christmas Eve, having suffered sudden hearing loss and vertigo.
In a recent Instagram Live video, the 'Price Tag' singer explained that she had woken up on the morning of December 24 and "felt like [she] was completely deaf in [her] right ear."
She also went on to recall how she'd struggled to walk in a straight line too, prompting her to pay a visit to a medical facility in Los Angeles.
"Basically I got told I had Meniere's syndrome," the 30-year-old noted. "I've actually had a lot of people reach out to me and give me great advice, so I've just been laying low in silence. Now's the first time I’ve been able to sing and bear it.
"It could be way worse, it is what it is. I'm super-grateful for my health. It just threw me off. But I'm glad I went early and they worked out what it was real quick and I got put on the right medicine so I feel a lot better today."
Around the same time, the 'Do It Like A Dude' hitmaker took to her main feed to share a selfie of herself smiling away alongside a caption that listed all of the things she had done that day.

While her diagnosis came in at number one, Jessie noted that other things she'd got up to during those 24 hours such as pampering herself, having a "big cry" about the fact that she wasn't spending the holiday with family and friends across the pond, texting with loved ones and watching The Queen's Gambit with her finger in one ear were helping her stay "grateful."
She continued: "I've done the first episode 4 times because I [have] zero focus and my ear sounds like someone crawled in and turned a hair dryer on."
