Jet slides off runway at Monmouth Executive Airport during severe weather warnings

WALL – A business jet ran off a runway while landing during Saturday evening’s severe weather warnings, according to the Wall Township police department.

The incident occurred at the Monmouth Executive Airport while a tornado and severe thunderstorm warning was issued by the National Weather Service.

The only two people on board the Cessna Citation X were two pilots, who were not injured, according to Wall Police Captain Chad Clark.

In addition to the police department, the Glendora Fire Company assisted on the scene.

The airport will close until the investigation is completed, according to the police department.
