The New York Jets have found their new head coach and it doesn’t appear to be Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus. Instead, they are going with San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh.

As far as we know, Eberflus only interviewed with two teams: the Jets and the Los Angeles Chargers. Both interviews have already been conducted so it seems like the only job the Colts have to keep their eye on will be the Chargers one.

Eberflus had a request from the Houston Texans to interview but he declined it.

While Eberflus was a hot candidate throughout the interviewing process, Saleh was considered the top candidate in most circles throughout the league given what he’s done on the west coast.

With the Jets job out of the way, Eberflus could become the next head coach of the Chargers or he will be returning to the lead the Colts defense for a fourth season in 2021.
