CHARGERS PLAYER TO WATCH: QB Justin Herbert. He's averaging 270 yards passing per game, which ranks sixth in the league, and both of his 300-yard games this season have come on the road. Herbert passed for 366 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions the previous time he faced the Jets in 2020. He needs 11 completions to reach 1,500 for his career and become the fastest player in NFL history to reach that milestone. Monday night is his 57th game. Patrick Mahomes and Matthew Stafford both did it in their 62nd games.

JETS PLAYER TO WATCH: QB Zach Wilson. The third-year quarterback has modest numbers — five TDs and five INTs — but has been picked off just once in his past four games. He has thrown for 240 yards or more just twice this season since taking over for the injured Aaron Rodgers. He has a chance to better that total Monday night when he faces the worst-ranked passing defense in the league.

KEY MATCHUP: Chargers pass rushers Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa vs. Jets' offensive line. Mack has seven sacks and Bosa four as they continue to be trouble for quarterbacks. The Jets' shuffled O-line will have its hands full as they'll start their fifth set of five starters in eight games because of injuries.

KEY INJURIES: Chargers WR Joshua Palmer was ruled out with a knee injury. ... LB Eric Kendricks (ribs) was listed as questionable, but was a full participant at practice Saturday. ... TE Gerald Everett was inactive last week because of a hip injury, but practiced fully all week and was removed from the injury report. ... Jets rookie C Joe Tippmann missed last week with a quadriceps injury, but fully practiced Saturday and was taken off the injury report. He'll likely start at center for the injured Connor McGovern. ... WR Allen Lazard (knee) and S Adrian Amos (ankle) were added to the injury report Saturday and listed as questionable. ... OT Duane Brown (hip/shoulder) returned to practice Thursday and fully participated all week, but was not activated from IR to play Monday night.

FANTASY TIP: Garrett Wilson is New York's No. 1 receiver and has only two TD catches, but is a standout lately in points per receptions leagues. Wilson has 15 catches for 190 yards in his past two games and should find more success in this one while facing the Chargers' struggling pass defense.
