Jets requested permission to interview Bills coach Joe Brady
Where there was smoke there evidently was fire relating to Buffalo Bills quarterbacks coach Joe Brady.
According to a report on Jan. 14, there was reportedly a level of interest in Brady from the New York Jets. At that time, an update stated that the Jets were “doing their homework” on Brady regarding their vacant offensive coordinator position.
That came to the forefront this past weekend.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, New York requested permission to interview Brady.
However, it’s not exactly straight forward from Brady’s position. Per Rap Sheet, there is a chance that Brady declines an opportunity to become the Jets OC because of his fondness for Buffalo:

In reality, that likely has something to do with the Bills’ current OC, Ken Dorsey.
Dorsey is under a bit of fire following Buffalo’s departure from the postseason, but others teams have already expressed interest in him. On Jan. 10, the Carolina Panthers requested permission to interview Dorsey for their vacant head coach position.
Dorsey is unlikely to land that gig due to his inexperience, but down the line, he could become a serious contender for other bench boss jobs. That could leave Brady first in line to take over as Buffalo’s offensive coordinator.
Brady, 33, does have some brief experience as an offensive coordinator, so his departure over Dorsey’s might be more realistic. Brady was Carolina’s OC briefly in 2020 before an apparent falling out with then head coach Matt Rhule.
