DOVER – National Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Day took place Nov. 19 and Jewelry Creations supported the cause in a significant way; raising $4,100 in just a few weeks.

Store owner Kelly Glennon, who lost her father to the disease ten years ago, raffled off a $500 Jewelry Creations gift card and sold raffle tickets at just $10 each. This is the fifth year the store has participated in the awareness day and has raised nearly $25,000 in that time.

“Pancreatic cancer has affected so many and more needs to be done in terms of research,” according to Glennon. “Since the loss of my dad, I have worked to increase awareness and fight for a cure. Every dollar helps and I’m so appreciative of all the support we received from our customers and community,” she added.

One hundred percent of the proceeds of the raffle will be sent to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation and will be directed towards funding for research.

Since 1981, Jewelry Creations has served seacoast residents as the local jeweler of choice for bridal and fashion jewelry, onsite jewelry repair, and custom design. To learn more, visit jewelrycreationsinc.com.

DOVER – The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting to welcome Sheila Hatch Bowenwork and Coaching LLC as a member of the chamber.

Located at 2 Washington St., Suite 210, in the Picker Mill Building, Hatch partners with her clients to transition from functional to optimal with the use of both Bowenwork and transition coaching. Whatever is happening on the inside, be it our thoughts or physical sensations, drives what occurs on the outside.

Bowenwork is a light touch, neurofascial therapy that resets tension patterns through the neurofascial system, establishing a rest, repair and healing response throughout the body. It is both gentle and effective, making it appropriate for the acutely ill, to newborns, to elite athletes.

Also offered at the studio is transition coaching, where clients identify what areas of their life they wish to enhance. Together, Hatch and the client explore what needs to be addressed in order to attain a desired outcome. By delving into, and releasing, the core emotions and beliefs that have been preventing clients from taking action, clients are able to create sustainable results.

While both modalities are highly effective individually, they act as a catalyst when used together. The physical body heals faster when the mind feels at ease. It’s a natural synergistic cycle.
