‘Jewish Matchmaking’s Harmonie Krieger Has Been An Entrepreneur Since She Was 10

If you haven't started binging Jewish Matchmaking on Netflix yet, IDK what you're doing. The show, which is created by the same people who brought you Indian Matchmaking, follows matchmaker Aleeza Ben Shalom as she connects Jewish singles around the world—literally from New York to Israel—to their perfect match.

Although Aleeza has been in the 'biz for over 12 years and matched 200-plus (!!) couples, she def has her work cut out for her in the first season. The nine featured contestants are very specific about what they want in a partner. I won't give too much away, but Aleeza manages to match some cast members and, at the very least, give them a refreshed outlook on dating (if you are looking for spoilers, though, you can dive into some of her successes here).

Who exactly are these Jewish singles? Well, you may be acquainted with Harmonie Krieger, a 45-year-old cast member who is looking for a protective (yet fun) partner. She comes to the show with a sweet backstory and an open mind—here's everything to know about the Jewish Matchmaking cast member:

Harmonie is looking for passion.

Look, Harmonie is all about fun. Her friends call her a unicorn! She wants to build forts with her partner—and then have sex in them! Her mission on the show is to find someone who's going to match her youthful energy and be there for the long haul—a.k.a. she wants some passion.

At the beginning of Jewish Matchmaking, she admits she ended her last relationship for the lack of connection. "I find that the ones I want to date [where] there's longevity and it's stable, I don't have the most passion with," she says in the series' first episode. "Why can't it be both?"

She lives in the Los Angeles area.

ICYMI in your initial binge, Harmonie is based in California, but it seems she's originally from New York (her whole family lives there, and she attended Syracuse University for college and business school). Now, she seems totally committed to the L.A. lifestyle, as her Instagram is full of beach pics and hiking trips.

Harmonie is also an only child, so she's really close to her parents and had a very strong relationship with her grandmother.

Her dad is a big part of why she's on the show.

Harmonie's father was raised Orthodox, which adheres to the strictest and most traditional beliefs of Judaism. Although he didn't raise his daughter the same way, he's a big inspiration for why she's on the show at all.

She says she explored Judaism more when she got older, and now celebrates the High Holidays (which are Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur). And on the show, she's looking for someone who will uphold the same Jewish values that she does.

"I feel more taken care of when I'm with a Jewish man," Harmonie says.

Harmonie's father is also living with Parkinson's disease, and her grandmother recently died (she was about to turn 100 while the show was in production). So she feels a lot of pressure to find her person soon.

"As a Jewish female, you're supposed to be married and have children and do all the things by a certain age," Harmonie, who is currently 45, says 18 minutes into the first episode. "I worry that, is it too late?"

She's an Aquarius.

Harmonie was born in February 7, according to her Instagram, which makes her an Aquarius. ICYDK, Aquariuses are independent, loyal, and opinionated. Sounds like Harmonie!

Harmonie runs her own business.

Yup, Harmonie is a total girl boss. She founded the Los Angeles-based Pop Your Shop, a boutique agency that helps brands strategize and execute pop-ups—plus, create general buzz around their business.

She's been running the firm since 2013, but she worked in event planning and marketing prior to starting the company, per her LinkedIn page, so she's pretty well-seasoned in her line of work. In fact, she's said she caught the "entrepreneurial bug" at a very young age. At 10 years old, she started selling bracelets at a park, per Entrepreneur. And at 12, she started planning birthday parties for children she babysat, per Shoutout LA.

"I’ve always enjoyed watching others immersed in fun settings, where they leave an event thinking about it for days," the business ownder told Shoutout LA. "[Pop Your Shop] was my passion and my calling!"

Her puppy is her bestie.

If you caught a glimpse of Harmonie's pooch throughout Jewish Matchmaking, you'll already know that she absolutely loves her dog, Clover.

Her puppy takes up quite a bit of her Instagram feed, and she even posted a super-sweet tribute to her mom and Clover—her two loves! "My heart bursted wide open watching these two loves, who have a bond like no other…come together ❤️," Harmonie wrote in the post's caption.

Her net worth isn't exactly known.

As a small business owner, it's likely Harmonie does pretty well for herself. Event planners in Los Angeles have a median salary of around $64,000, per Built In LA, and the average income of a small business owner is around the same, according to The Ascent. However, it wouldn't be surprising if she's actually making more, especially after her appearance on Jewish Matchmaking. She's also had some big name clients, such as YouTube and Keurig. One source even estimates her income at around $400,000, but that cannot be confirmed.

So, does Harmonie find the one?

*WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD*

It's not totally clear if Harmonie ends up with someone at the end of the show, but if bets had to be placed, I'd say no.

Harmonie starts off the show by going on a date with Aron Temkin, but the connection fades. Later, she connects with Adam Frankel, but similarly—no sparks.

By the end, she is matched with Ben Bakondi, and her storyline ends with the pair discussing a second date. However, she doesn't currently follow Ben on Instagram (but he follows her) and if that isn't a sign of no passion, IDK what is. It looks like she might still be sporting a single status.
