JFCS of the Suncoast appoints new CFO and names new chief of behavioral health services

The JFCS of the Suncoast has appointed John Frizzell as new chief financial officer and Keith Leahey as new chief of behavioral health services.

Frizzell will recommend outcome-driven administrative and fiscal strategies and oversee risk management operations and the staff in the finance and information technology departments. He has over 20 years in the finance field at the management and executive levels, primarily in higher education and nonprofits.

Frizzell earned a bachelor’s degree from Robert Morris University in Chicago and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Leahey will oversee and further develop JFCS’s counseling and mental health department, aging services, and Jewish healing program. He will also be responsible for JFCS’s community-based mental health services, including the Adolescent Diversion & Assistance Program, Camp Mariposa, and the Voluntary Interim Placement-Enhanced Recovery program.

Leahey comes to JFCS with decades of leadership experience in the mental health and nonprofit fields, including 16 years leading the Mental Health Association of the Southern Tier in Binghamton, New York, as CEO.

Leahey earned a bachelor’s degree in social work from The College at Brockport, State University of New York and a master’s degree in social work from Marywood University in Pennsylvania.
