JFRD Hazmat Team responding to chemical spill off Zoo Parkway in North Jacksonville

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department’s Hazmat Team is responding to a chemical leak in the 2700 block of Zoo Parkway.

The road is shut down in both directions as JFRD is working to mitigate the spill.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said that traffic is being turned around at August Drive.

Motorists should avoid the area if possible.
