Jillian Michaels Says You Need To Ditch Alcohol If You Want Abs, But I’d Rather Have Rosé

Celebrity trainer and outspoken keto adversary (remember that sparing match with Al Roker), Jillian Michaels has taken a break from bashing the wildly popular high-fat, low-carb diet craze to answer a new q: How does mere mortals like you and me get abs?

Well her advice is, um, not great. According to Michaels, the key to accomplishing a flat, toned tummy is to ditch the alcoholic beverages. "Don't drink too much alcohol," she told POPSUGAR. "Really try to bring this to four drinks a week, tops." What do you mean TOPS, Jillian? You really expect us to just abandon rosé like that? As summer is approaching?

Yeah, she really does.

However, it's also not the only health approach Michaels swears by. She also recommends a clean, calorie-controlled diet; less sodium, processed sugars, and flours; and plenty of water. "Reducing overall body fat will help you decrease belly fat," she adds.

So what about your workout routine? Yep, that's important, too. The 6 Keys author recommends "functional exercises" like push-ups, mountain climbers, planks, lunges, and more. "[They'll] burn calories and condition your core," Michaels promises.

Jillian and I have one thing in common, and no it's not our compliance to go booze-free. Because, tbh, abs are overrated anyways. It's our unwillingness to waiver-I refuse to budge on her alcohol policy, and she refuses to go keto. I respect you girl, but like, don't come for my tequila.
