Is Jim Cantore coming to Florida? That’s when you know Isaias is not here to play

Weather Channel reporter Stephanie Abrams showed up on Fort Lauderdale beach Friday morning.

At least her intrepid colleague Jim Cantore isn’t in South Florida. Because that’s never a good sign as hurricane veterans know.

The man flocks to places when others are fleeing for their lives.

Cantore likes to keep his whereabouts under wraps, likely not to cause widespread panic.

But since we did see TWC colleague Abrams’ report from Fort Lauderdale, we have to assume he’s close behind, or at least in the general neighborhood.

The Weather Channel’s Twitter says it has four reporters live in the field, aka Southeast Florida.

PIctures were shown of Abrams as well as Mike Seidel in Miami Beach, Paul Goodloe in Palm Beach County and Reynolds Wolf in Vero Beach.

A check of Cantore’s Twitter page, where the bio reads, “Always awaiting Mother Nature’s latest temper tantrum,” didn’t reveal much.

TWC superstar only posted a map with meteorological speak: “The center is to the left of the deepest convection and several arc clouds are emanating west...”

Thanks for nothing, buddy.

On popular Facebook page “Tracking Jim Cantore,” which has eagle-eyed contributors/fans posting sightings of the 56-year-old, not much, either.

If you’re looking for comic relief, the page has a few Cantore memes.

Our personal favorite? One of the TV star with his hands on hips that says, “Hey 2020, can I play too?” a reference to our horrific year dealing with the pandemic and civil rights issues.
