Jim Carrey Rips ‘Sadist-in-Chief’ Trump in Latest Artwork: ‘This Is Manslaughter’
Jim Carrey took a particularly grim shot at President Donald Trump on Thursday, calling him out over his move to deploy troops to the U.S.-Mexico border as the death toll from the California wildfires grew.
In a blunt assessment of the situation, Carrey characterized Trump as the “Sadist-in-Chief” and declared, “This is manslaughter.”
“As the California death toll rises our Sadist-in-Chief is spending $220 million to send troops to the border for nothing,” Carrey wrote of his artwork, published to his Twitter account.

“That’s one way to get rid of Democrats. This is no longer politics. This is manslaughter,” the “Kidding” star concluded.
The accompanying image was particularly grim, depicting a body amid rubble.
Earlier this month, CNBC reported that the border deployment could cost $220 million. The deployment came following warnings from Trump regarding a migrant caravan from Central America — a topic that received many headlines leading up to this year’s midterm elections but has since cooled off considerably as a subject of conversation in the media.

As of Thursday, CBS News reported that the Camp Fire in Northern California had claimed 56 confirmed fatalities, while the Woolsey Fire in Southern California had resulted in three confirmed fatalities.
