Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Orlando Resort Set to Open in January

Look out Disney World, there’s a new vacation destination coming to the Orlando area!

The latest endeavor from good times guru Jimmy Buffett, Margaritaville Resort Orlando is set to open at the start of 2019. Spanning more than 300 acres, the monstrous resort, being developed by Encore Capital Management, includes four fun-filled components for vacationers looking to waste away in Margaritaville… er, the Central Florida sun.

The four distinct parts include Margaritaville Hotel (from $199/night); Margaritaville Cottages (available to own or rent); Sunset Walk shopping, dining and entertainment district; and Island H2O Live! Waterpark—enough to guarantee something for Parrotheads of all ages.

“Margaritaville Resort Orlando will be the first resort destination in this area where guests and owners can equally enjoy a personalized, premium experience and a robust offering of amenities, all within easy walking distance from their guest room or cottage home,” Alyssa Bushey, head of marketing for the resort, said in a news release. “More than 35 dining, recreation and relaxation options, shopping, spas, entertainment, a dine-in movie theatre and an exhilarating water park are all just a short stroll or trolley ride away.”

We’re especially excited about the 14-acre water park, set to open in the spring of 2019, which features nine different thrill rides, a wave pool and a river raft ride.

Anybody got a cheeseburger, because this sounds like paradise.
