Jimmy Buffett to return to Bangor Waterfront for summer show

Feb. 24—Jimmy Buffett, the singer whose songs about life, love and island escapism have sold millions of albums, will return to the Bangor waterfront this summer in a stop on his 2022 Life on the Flip Side Redux Tour.
Buffett will perform at the Maine Savings Amphitheater on Tuesday, Aug. 2. Tickets for the concert, starting at $45, will go on sale via Ticketmaster on Friday, March. 4.
Buffett made his first-ever appearance in Bangor in August 2016, in a sold-out show that attracted thousands of "Parrotheads" — the name for his legions of fans — who tailgated in the parking lot outside the venue before the show.
Buffett's concert joins five other previously announced concerts for the 2022 season at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor, the first full concert season since 2019. They include Phish on July 16, Keith Urban on July 23, the Foo Fighters on July 27, Jason Aldean on Sept. 10 and REO Speedwagon and Styx on Sept. 18. More concerts will be announced in the coming weeks.
