Jimmy Moore Christmas Party in need of funds as signup deadline nears

Nov. 27—With its signup deadline Thursday, the Jimmy Moore Christmas Party for needy children is still seeking financial help.

Approximately $15,000 of a goal of $25,000 has been raised so far to purchase gifts for an estimated 360 children, according to Nancy Mangilo-Bittner, chair of the event.

Make checks payable to "Jimmy Moore Fund" and mail them to her at 379 Cole Drive, Meadville, PA 16335.

The Jimmy Moore Christmas Party on Dec. 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Brigid's Social Hall, 383 Arch St., requires preregistration via mail only; all information must be received by Thursday.

The signup must have the following information: the legal guardian or parent name and address, phone number and email address, plus names and birth dates of children attending with proof of age required. Information must be mailed to Mangilo-Bittner at the address above.

The legal guardian or parent and all children receiving gifts must be present Dec. 16 to receive the items.
