Mandopop sensation JJ Lin and Afro-Korean musician Anderson .Paak have joined forces for the first time by producing a song for the forthcoming East West Bank documentary film “The Bridge.”

Their new collaborative single, “In the Joy,” celebrates the Asian American Pacific Islander community and will be the theme song for "The Bridge,” directed by Evan Jackson Leong. The sixth-generation Chinese American filmmaker is best known for his 2013 Jeremy Lin documentary “Linsanity.”

"The collaboration between Lin and Paak demonstrates a bridge between the East and the West, bringing communities together to celebrate the joy in life, unity, and understanding," a recent press release stated.

“The Bridge” is expected to debut later this year and will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of East West Bank, which was originally created to serve the Chinese American community of Southern California.

Lin recently wrapped up the North American circuit of his “JJ20 World Tour” and will head to Australia and Europe for the next quarter of his world tour. His newest album is slated for release on April 21 and will include a Mandarin-language version of “In the Joy.”
