Dame Joan Collins is extremely wary of technological advances, it seems.

The iconic star of Hollywood's Golden Age, who turned 90 back in May, revealed as much during her appearance on BBC programme The One Show this Friday (22 September).

Having just screened a piece on the Milton Keynes Smart City Robotics Competition, co-presenter Alex Jones jokingly asked whether Collins could see an android replacing her husband Percy Gibson in the future.

"Are you kidding? He's irreplaceable," the Dynasty actress shot her down.

"I don't like the idea of robots. I really don't. I don't even like the idea of 'Alexa, put on my telephone,' or whatever. I just think they are too close to taking us over, I don't like that idea."

Collins might have The Terminator director James Cameron to thank for that...

Meanwhile, it was recently confirmed that Collins would be one of the famous subjects in documentarian Louis Theroux's new interview series.

"Louis heads to the French Riviera to meet one of the icons of Hollywood's Golden age, Dame Joan Collins. Welcomed into her holiday home near St Tropez, Louis and Dame Joan discuss the highs and lows of her multi-decade career, including her star turns in The Stud and as Alexis in Dynasty," teased a synopsis.

"Louis also hits the town with Dame Joan and her husband of over 20 years, Percy Gibson."

Heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua, Top Boy actor Ashley Walters, US Army whistleblower Chelsea Manning, and singers Pete Doherty and Raye also get the unrivalled Theroux treatment.

"Each show mixes stylish master interviews with behind-the-scenes moments and actuality shot on location, so viewers have the double pleasure of a thoughtful in-depth conversation alongside a revealing look into the lives of the contributors."
