Jodeci fans rejoice! The group’s biopic is headed to television.

During an interview withSan Francisco radio station Q102on Monday, Jodeci group member Mr. Dalvin said a small screen depiction of the quartet is already “in the works.”

“They started the process last September,” he said. “We just finished the script and we’re going into production next month, so we’re looking probably at an end of the year release…VH1 own the rights so far.”

Known for chart-topping hits including “Come and Talk to Me,” “Forever My Lady,” and “Cry for You,” the ‘90s group ― featuring Dalvin, DeVante Swing, K-Ci, and JoJo ― went on to amass multi-platinum and commercial success following the release of their debut album “Forever My Lady.”

Following the crooner’s announcement, Dalvinadded on his Instagram accountthat casting inquiries for the developing project will be announced soon:

The news comes on the heels ofBET’s recent success of New Edition’s biopic, “The New Edition Story,” which was viewed by 29 million viewers during its premiere week ― making it the network’s highest-rated and most-watched telecast since 2012’s Season 5 premiere of “The Game.”

In response to HuffPost’s request, VH1 Networks offered no comment on the developing project.
