Jodie Turner-Smith breaks silence on Joshua Jackson divorce

Less than six months after filing for divorce, Jodie Turner-Smith has opened up about her split from Joshua Jackson.

The British actress and model described parting ways with her ex-spouse as the “bravest thing in the world” during a recent interview.

“Sometimes things we really want to work just don’t end up working. And that’s OK,” she told the U.K.’s The Times. “The most important thing is that you choose what’s healthiest for you and your family and definitely your children.”

Turner-Smith shares a 3-year-old daughter, Juno, with Jackson. The 37-year-old “Queen & Slim” star and the 45-year-old “Dawson’s Creek” alum secretly wed in late 2019.

They reached an agreement in November allowing joint physical and legal custody.

“I don’t think it’s a failure,” Turner-Smith reflected about the near four-year marriage. “We obviously had such a beautiful moment together. And now it’s time for a new moment for both of us. And how exciting!”

She added: “The bravest thing in the world is to recognize when something’s not working and to make a move, and I always want to set that kind of example for my daughter.

“The big takeaway is that this is about just as much love and joy as it has always been. This is only about taking a step forward into a better life for everybody involved.”

Jackson is now seemingly making moves with Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’o.

Weeks after rumors of the two being romantically linked, he was photographed on several occasions with the 40-year-old “Black Panther” actress.
