Joe Biden Meets Adorable Puppy Also Named Biden

Former Vice PresidentJoe Bidenhad the world’s cutest greeter welcome him to Capitol Hill on Wednesday — and the two even share a name.

Biden, a golden retrieverpuppy, mugged for the camera and even licked the face of his namesake, who was in D.C. to celebrate the anniversary of theAffordable Care Act.

The owner of Biden the dog, identified by Buzzfeedonly as “Sydney,” told the site she named the pup because Biden the human is her “favorite politician and favorite elected official.” NBC News identified the womanas a Republican staffer, but she told Buzzfeed that she respects the former vice president despite some differences in political opinions.

She also said his face “lit up” when he learned the sweet yellow fluffball was named after him.
