Joe Burrow is pledging to serve his community through the Guinness Gives Back program, and he is encouraging others to do the same.

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback announced a multi-year partnership with the Guinness outreach program Thursday, committing to hours of community service, a press release states. He joins NFL legend Joe Montana, as the two will be part of a campaign encouraging Americans to pledge more than 1 million hours of outreach.

"Many people in our country are facing a series of challenges right now and can benefit from the support of others, and I am humbled to be in a position to make a difference, and encourage others to do so as well," Burrow said in a statement. "Teaming up with a brand like Guinness, who has 'giving back' at the core of what they do, just makes sense."

"Burrow is a talent on the field and it's been fun to watch what he's been able to accomplish so early in his career," Montana added. "But it's also inspiring to see what he's doing off the field by giving back and investing his time for good causes. I'm looking forward to working with Joe and Guinness to help spread the message and encourage others to give their time to their communities for those in need."

The release doesn't say which outreach Burrow will be involved in, only that it will benefit communities in need.

In 2019, the then-LSU quarterback used his Heisman Trophy acceptance speech to highlight food insecurity in Athens County, inspiring an online fundraising campaign that raised thousands of dollars for the Athens County Food Pantry.

This year, Burrow partnered with Kroger as a brand ambassador. The grocery retailer, which partners with the Zero Hunger Zero Waste Foundation, previously accepted donations at stores for his Hunger Relief Fund.
