As long as Tua Tagovailoa is able to play as expected, Thursday night will be the first ever professional game where the Dolphins quarterback and Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow will face off.
However, the two share plenty of history. Burrow was the top pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, with Tagovailoa being picked No. 5 overall. And playing in the Southeastern Conference's tough West division, the two squared off twice while in college, with each coming away with a win.
As a matter of fact, Tagovailoa was the SEC Offensive Player of the Year and First-team All-SEC at Alabama in 2018, only to be unseated by LSU's Burrow for both awards the following season.
