Joe Burrow and Tyler Boyd gave the Cincinnati Bengals an early first-quarter lead with a 60-yard touchdown connection on their fourth play from scrimmage during Sunday's Week 7 game against the Atlanta Falcons at Paycor Stadium.
"Remember, some new faces in that secondary for the Falcons!" FOX color analyst Robert Smith said after the touchdown.
The touchdown completed a four-play, 84-yard scoring drive that took exactly two minutes. Burrow also found Boyd for an 11-yard reception on the Bengals' first offensive snap.
Fox sideline reporter Jen Hale reported a short time later that what made the touchdown even more impressive was the headset in Burrow's helmet had gone out, and he had to switch to his backup helmet.
Social media reactions:
If he wanted it, Joe Burrow also had Tee Higgins wide open.
Always good when you have multiple choices for a 60-yard touchdown. https://t.co/eRhqSgKAQG— Charlie Goldsmith (@CharlieG__) October 23, 2022
The Falcons secondary is banged up and undermanned. The Bengals have the receiving trio that they have.

This is the Joe Burrow you saw at home last year against the Ravens.
Making really smart, really aggressive decisions. Rolling out, hitting tight windows, keeping his eyes down the field for plays like the touchdown to Boyd.— Charlie Goldsmith (@CharlieG__) October 23, 2022
Joe Burrow had a 60-yard pass TD to Tyler Boyd in the Bengals’ opening possession.
It was Burrow’s NFL-best 12th pass TD of 50+ yards since 2021.
No other player had more than 7 over that span entering the week. #RuleTheJungle @Bengals— NFL Research (@NFLResearch) October 23, 2022
