Joe Jonas sent shockwaves through the fascinator-clad audience this weekend at Miami's Pegasus World Cup when he showed up to deliver a surprise performance.
On Saturday, the pop singer joined OneRepublic and Kygo on the stage at the Carousel Club in Gulfstream Park. He performed "Dancing Feet" and the DNCE hit "Cake By The Ocean." For the occasion, he looked cool in a white tank, cream-colored pants, white loafers, and a navy collared button-up with the word "Rob's," which he wore open. Known for taking risks with his fashion, Jonas also layered on silver jewelry and wore black square sunglasses.
"People go all out with their fashion—the guys do; it's a big part of Pegasus," Belinda Stronach, chairwoman, CEO, and president of sports-anchored company 1/ST, tells BAZAAR.com.
During the performance, Jonas threw a bucket of Rob’s Backstage Popcorn into the crowd.
There to enjoy Jonas's intimate concert were celebrities including Venus Williams, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Maluma, who celebrated his birthday at the annual horse race—this time presented by Baccarat and 1/ST.
"We wanted to create something that was exciting, compelling, and fun," Stronach says of the event founded in 2017. "Originally it was more horse racing focused but had some entertainment around it, but now we have amazing partners ... to help curate the entertainment. So it's a mixture of fashion, beauty, hospitality, horse racing, and athleticism."
Jonas's attendance at the race came two days before his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony this Monday, January 30, with brother Nick and Kevin Jonas.
