"Every time I do my makeup and I put my engagement ring on that bit of paper because it kind of highlights it on the side, if that makes any sense.

"I’m rushed out of the bathroom and let (my brother) go for what I thought was a urination. And it wasn’t – it was a number two. And he flushed the toilet and left. And I just carried on doing my makeup."

She continued: "And I just like panicked and flustered, so I just kind of cleared everything up, packed up and just swept the side, grabbed the loo paper and just chucked that bit of paper with my engagement ring into the toilet. It just went 'ding ding ding'.

"My heart drops out of me like I was like, 'Oh my God, what am I going to do?' I, without thinking, just put my hand straight in the loo and just grabbed whatever I could.

"As I’m picking up this soggy tissue, there’s just like a lump of shit in my hand – my brother’s shit. And the engagement ring was on top of it." Lovely.
