"They are awesome folks and we are thrilled to have them as part of our family!"

a Facebook post from Cincinnati Animal Care said.

Although India and Garcia are caring for Joey Votto for now, the dog is available for adoption, Cincinnati Animal Care said.

The organization is looking for people interested in fostering dogs and cats. There are different types of fostering levels available, from lunch dates with dogs to long term, at home foster situations for dogs and cats.

Cincinnati Animal Care has reached code red status, meaning it has 10 or fewer open dog kennels, and has taken in over 602 animals in May.
