Good Times star John Amos’ children continue to fight over the actor’s health. His son, K.C., was arrested for allegedly threatening his sister by sending terroristic text messages with photos of guns.

K.C. was reportedly taken into custody last weekend after his sister, Shannon, claimed he sent her several disturbing texts that made her fear for her life, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

Shannon reported the incident to West Orange, New Jersey, police after receiving the text messages. She said K.C. described his gang affiliations with photos of a handgun and a rifle, per the outlet. He also sent her videos of him shooting a handgun in an open field and wrote, “Gonna sleep much better tonight big sis.”

The 57-year-old also confirmed K.C. has bipolar disorder, and he believes Shannon hired someone to kill him, according to Robert Florida, a spokesperson for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

Shannon was concerned K.C. might retaliate due to his troubled thoughts and actions regarding his sister. Last month, Blavity reported Shannon had created a GoFundMe campaign in May to raise money for her father after she claimed he was a victim of elderly abuse and financial exploitation.

She also said the Roots actor’s health was failing, and he fought for his life after his “caregivers” mistreated him. At the time, TMZ reported that Shannon received a phone call from her father stating he was hospitalized in Memphis and was in “unbearable pain.”

In a separate incident, Shannon also mentioned her father’s home was robbed of valuable items and launched the GoFundMe campaign with a goal of $500,000 to cover health and legal fees, per Blavity.

The 83-year-old learned of his daughter’s efforts to help him. He confirmed “no one was abusing him” and was “unsure” why Shannon created the crowdfunding campaign.

GoFundMe eventually shut the website down after John declined the funds.
