John Legend releases love song about 'new obsession' with his SK-II products

John Legend has the voice of an angel and the looks of a 25-year-old.
The iconic singer's perpetually youthful looks remain one of the biggest perplexities in Hollywood today, but the release of Legend's new song may have finally given us a few clues behind the dad-of-two's permanently unchanging (and handsome!) face.
Penning for James Corden and Naomi Watanabe's Bare Skin Chat web series "Pitera Masterclass" with Japanese brand SK-II, the 40-year-old artist dropped a new song about his love affair with the brand's best-selling product, Facial Treatment Essence, on Monday.
"I've been a fan of SK-II for a long time, for quite a few years now," Legend explained to AOL Lifestyle. “Masterclass was the series that SK-II put together with James Corden, to...have a good time explaining what's going on with the magical products that SK-II makes, but in a funny way."
"You’re my miracle water," Legend sings in the song titled Oh Pitera. "My skin has never been better, I owe it to you, And the magical, miracle things that you do."
If Legend can become an EGOT winner by the age of 40, then writing a song about "miracle water" is a no-brainer.
"This is the first time that I've actually written anything explicitly for a commercial," he explained about the creative process. "And it was really fun, they sent me a bunch of keywords that they wanted me to address. I just had a lot of fun, creating something that was catchy, and also a little bit tongue and cheek."
If anyone knows just how essential a good beauty routine is, it's Legend.
"I think your skin reflects how you treat yourself in general. If you're living a healthy life, and drinking lots of water, and taking care of yourself with rest and all the things you need. And then you have to cleanse, you have to moisturize, you have to do all those things that make your skin look as good as it can," he explained.
"Especially when you fly as much as I fly, there's a lot of times we're in dry air and you're jet-lagged and all those other things are going on and if you don't take care of your skin it'll tell on you," he concluded.
