Q: I am sending pictures of a few bird figurines I have. These first three are all from Goebel. The robin has “1969” on the bottom, the Spurling Sparrow has “3562207,” and the two little birds are about 2 by 3 inches. The large song thrush has “CV 115” and is 7 inches long and 6 inches high.

The two larger birds are about 3 inches tall. The wren is about 2 by 3 inches. The wren is from Zaunkonig, the cardinal from Andrea with number 6350, and the blue bird has the symbol and “44/346.”

These last two birds do not have any marks that I can read as they are both very blurred. The goose is about 7 inches long. — J.K., Internet

This goose and bird would likely sell in the $15 to $30 range.

A: Goebel bird figurines like the ones you have can be found for sale from $5 to $20 and large ones in the $20 to $50 range. The white porcelain goose and bird with marks that are often hard to read is Lladro porcelain. Three brothers founded the company in 1953 in Spain. They are widely recognized for their high-quality porcelain figurines and upscale lighting and home accessories. The goose and bird would likely sell in the $15 to $30 range.

Q: I read and enjoy your column in The Gainesville Sun every week. Thank you! I was intrigued by a recent letter about a Bradley and Hubbard lamp. In addition to its attractive appearance, I was interested that it was made in Meriden, Connecticut. My husband's job took us from Jupiter, Florida, to Connecticut in 1999, and I worked for the city of Meriden for 10 years. I have many fond memories of Meriden, and that lamp looks like a Meriden memento I might like to have.

If possible, would you please pass my contact information along to G. and C.K. in Gainesville and let them know that I am interested? Many thanks. — C.S., Internet

A: Thank you for the kind words. We have always protected the privacy of those who write in and ask questions. One suggestion would be to place a want-to-buy ad close to this column in the newspaper. The other suggestion is to contact an auction company that sells things of the same nature. The lamp you like was made in quantities, and with time you will find another. David Rago Auctions is a possibility. The website is ragoarts.com. Tell them what you are looking for, and they will notify you when one comes up for sale. Good luck.
