John Travolta Buys a $2.65 Million Mediterranean-Style Mansion in Calabasas

While John Travolta will soon be getting new neighbors in the exclusive private plane community in Florida where he has a home, the Grease star is also the newest resident of the celebrity-filled Los Angeles suburb of Calabasas. He just purchased a Mediterranean-style villa for $2.65 million there, according to reports.

Perched behind a guarded gate and at the end of a cul-de-sac, the 7,500-square-foot home features six bedrooms, six bathrooms, and four fireplaces. Everything about this house is grand, starting with the towering palm trees, fountain, and terra-cotta tiles out front, and continuing with the sweeping tiled staircase in the impressive foyer.

There's a formal living room with a green marble fireplace and numerous windows that let light flood in. A cozy library with wooden built-in bookshelves and doors to the backyard can be found on the other side of the foyer. There’s also a great room complete with wet bar and temperature-controlled wine closet, a dining room with room for 12, a home office, a gym, a chef’s kitchen with top-of-the-line Viking appliances, and a sunny breakfast nook. Upstairs in the master suite is a fireplace, a balcony that peers down to the lower floor, dual closets, and a spacious bathroom.

Of course, the outside is equally impressive. The half-acre parcel boasts lush landscaping, numerous outdoor living spaces, a covered patio with an outdoor fireplace, a dining terrace, a pool, a spa, and a gazebo. And the unobstructed mountain views from the backyard are breathtaking.
