Lionsgate has recently confirmed the release date of the upcoming “John Wick” spinoff “Ballerina,” starring Keanu Reeves and Ana de Armas.

The announcement comes on the heels of the critical and box-office success of “John Wick: Chapter 4,” which has earned over $250 million worldwide, bringing the popular four-film franchise to over $833 million globally.

De Armas plays an assassin well-versed in the traditions of the Ruska Roma. Joining her and Reeves are Ian McShane and the late Lance Reddick, who reprise their “John Wick” roles as Winston and Charon, respectively. Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Norman Reedus round out the rest of the cast.

Len Wiseman serves as the film’s director, while Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee and “John Wick” filmmaker Chad Stahelski serve as its producers. Shay Hatten penned the film's script.
