Keanu Reeves is seemingly in a nostalgic mood. After the release of The Matrix Resurrections in 2021, he's gone back to the Noughties yet again, this time reforming his grunge band Dogstar.

The John Wick actor played bass guitar in the group between 1991 and 2002, when they went on hiatus. Now over 20 years later, they are picking up where they left off.

The band shared a black and white photo of themselves posing against a city backdrop to their official Instagram page, with a caption reading: "Last set up on the roof in Lincoln Heights for @dogstarband photo shoot. Exciting news coming soon. Thanks for being so patient."

In the band's initial run, they released two studio albums, appeared in a film and had Weezer support them before they themselves broke through.

The Keanu Reeves turn of the millennium revival hat-trick has hit a bit of a snag though, as a planned sequel to his 2005 film Constantine is looking increasingly unlikely due to all the changes of direction and the new management at Warner Bros and DC.

It's not completely dead in the water, however, as Reeves recently said: "We're trying, I don't know if it's going to happen."

If the film ends up becoming a reality, one thing Reeves won't be doing is following the original comic books and going blonde for the role.

"I don't know if I look good as a blonde," Reeves quipped.

Another role reprisal that is unlikely to happen is John Wick, although if you've seen the fourth film when it released recently, you'll know that it's for a very different reason.

"For [John Wick] to get his peace, or freedom, in a way... that was the reason to make the movie," Reeves recently explained.

John Wick: Chapter Four is in cinemas now. The previous John Wick movies are available to buy or rent on Prime Video, plus DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD.
