A lavish estate that has seen its fair share of wildly famous country music legends has landed on the real estate market in Madison, Tennessee.

Listed for $3.5 million, the striking four-bedroom, four-bathroom residence sits on 13 acres and is near downtown.

“Looking for a home steeped in Nashville’s soul and music roots? Or an income-producing property well-suited for Events and Air BNB?” the listing on Zillow asks. “Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Smith-Carter Estate has been home to generations of Country Music HOF members including Carl Smith, June Carter and Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Marty Stuart, Mother Maybelle Carter and more.”

According to the plaque that sits in front of the gated entrance of the home, Carter, Cash’s second wife, wrote his hit song “Ring of Fire” on the property.

The 3,118-square-foot estate includes:

  • Stone farmhouse

  • Party barn

  • Swimming pool

  • A replica golf hole from Augusta National

The remarkable home was even featured on Friday Night Zillow, a Twitter segment created by Bloomberg reporter Steven Dennis, and fans loved it.

“Looks like you could get a nice wedding/events center. And the estimate is $1 higher than the asking price,” one person tweeted.

Absolutely lovely,” another noted.

A country music fan’s dream,” someone said.
