While on tour to promote their recently released album, rockers Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck stopped in Augustino's, a legendary old-school Italian restaurant in Hoboken.

The duo, longtime friends, had performed on October 11th at the Hackensack Meridian Health Center at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank. Their sighting was first reported by Hoboken Girl, a local lifestyle website.

The owners of the restaurant, Naples native Angelo Yandoli and his wife, Sharon, could not be reached for comment.

The restaurant, which opened in 1997, is no stranger to celebrities. It used to host Hoboken's most famous native, Frank Sinatra.

Those who don't follow Depp, a controversial award-winning actor (he and his ex-wife, Amber Heard, went to court in a highly publicized defamation trial), may be surprised to learn that he is also a musician. But Depp was a professional guitar player before he became a professional actor. Among his films: "A Nightmare on Elm Street," "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" and the blockbuster series "Pirates of the Caribbean."

Depp dropped out of high school to play guitar and eventually recorded music, not only with English rock star Beck (ex of the Yardbirds and Jeff Beck Group), but such big-name artists as Oasis, Alice Cooper, Iggy Pop and Aerosmith.

What did the duo eat? It's reported that their table was laden with appetizers and that Depp declared that the meal was the best food he's ever had.

We can't vouch for that but we can tell you that Depp no longer rocks a mustache and beard. Just check out Hackensack Meridian Health's Instagram.
