Jefferson Street Farmers Market is 4:30-7 p.m. in downtown Burlington. The Pet Parade has been moved to this day's market. Meet at 5:20 p.m. in front of The Beancounter Coffeehouse & Drinkery to line up for the 5:30 p.m. parade. The Grand Marshal will be the DMC Sheriff's K-9, Tank, with handler Deputy Dilan Beaird.

Moose Lodge, 2529 Mount Pleasant St., Bingo games will have early bird at 6:30 p.m., regular games at 7 p.m., with Yolanda's food available for dine-in or carryout.

Steak Fry Fundraiser for Fort Madison YMCA and Rotary Club is 5-9 p.m. at the Tri-State Rodeo grounds with live music by Nathan Gosnell and Jared Harness, an auction, children's activities. To learn more, visit Fort Madison YMCA on Facebook.

Steamboat Senior Center, 501 Jefferson St., will have music by the house band from 1-3 p.m. For the noon meal, place an advance order from Napoli at the desk.

Burlington Mall Gun Show hosted by Militia Armaments Gun Club is 4-8 p.m. at Westland Mall, 550 S. Gear Ave., West Burlington. All-weekend general admission is $10.

Fort Madison High School Jazz Ensemble free outdoor concert is noon at Central Park Pavilion. Call David Taylor at (319) 470-5984 and order a picnic basket to be delivered to you at Central Park and explore jazz in all of its varied forms. A limited number of baskets will be available at the concert. A portion of proceeds will benefit FMHS Music Department.

Jefferson Street Cruise Night is 5-10 p.m. Shop, dine, reminisce and check out the rolling stock. Construction on the regular route will redirect the cruise to Washington and Valley streets.

Moose Lodge, 2529 Mount Pleasant St., will serve chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes and corn from 5-7 p.m. Doug T. Hypno show is 9-11 p.m., with advance tickets at the Moose Lodge. All show proceeds will go to the Longest Day for Alzheimer’s Association.

Wake N Bake Breakfast Co., 713 Jefferson St., will feature live music by StumpTown at 7 p.m.

Saturday

CRST Late Model Dirt Series is at 34 Raceway. Grandstand opens at 4 p.m., hot laps at 6:15 p.m., and racing follows. Grandstand admission is $30 for adults, $25 for students and seniors, and $5 for ages 10 and under with a paying adult.

Heritage Trust Preservation Station, 213 Valley St., is open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays, selling unique decor and historic building materials.

"Mount Pleasant’s Old City Cemetery" program by Pat White is 2 p.m. at Henry County Heritage Center Museum, 403 West Madison St., Mount Pleasant. Learn about the history of Mount Pleasant’s oldest burial grounds and the early settlers, politicians and veterans interred there. Admission is free.

PAW no-kill pet shelter Pop Can Drive is the third Saturday of every month in the old JC Penney parking lot at Westland Mall, West Burlington. Refundable bottles, cans and glass can be dropped off from 8 a.m.-Noon.

Steamboat Senior Center, 501 Jefferson St., will have music by Gary Fisher from 1-3 p.m. Cover charge is $5. Everyone is welcome.

Sunny's Legacy, helping sick, stray and feral cats and kittens, is accepting redeemable cans and plastic bottles from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday in the old Burlington ShopKo parking lot.

Tri State Chess Club meets from 9 a.m.-noon at Burlington Public Library, 210 Court St., on the first and third Saturdays of each month. All players are welcome.
