  1. Elton John has canceled his upcoming Dallas farewell concerts after testing positive for COVID-19. The cancellations were announced on Tuesday morning; new dates will be announced soon and fans’ tickets will be honored at the rescheduled shows. As of now, the 74-year-old singer plans to return to the stage this weekend in North Little Rock, Ark. (The Dallas Morning News)

  2. Crispy Filipino fried chicken from Jollibee is making its way to Dallas. The fast-food chain, which first made its North Texas debut in 2020, will open its first Dallas location in the former Jack in the Box space at 4703 Greenville Ave. The restaurant is expected to open in mid-summer.   3. On Monday night, a man was found fatally shot in Far East Dallas. At about 7:45 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2200 block of Graycliff Drive, near Ferguson Road, and found an unidentified man dead from an apparent gunshot wound. According to investigators, the man may have been shot elsewhere and left on Graycliff Drive. (The Dallas Morning News)
