The king of political comedy is poised for a comeback.

Jon Stewart will host a new multi-season current affairs series on Apple TV+, the streaming service said Tuesday.

Apple said the Emmy-winning comic’s upcoming show will feature hour-long episodes. It wasn’t immediately clear when the program will premiere.

In a statement, Apple said the show will focus on “topics that are currently part of the national conversation and his advocacy work.”

Stewart signed off from “The Daily Show” in 2015 after more than 16 years helming the satirical news report. On the hugely popular show, Stewart picked apart politicians and their hypocrisy and offered scathing appraisals of the cable news industry.
