The Jones Soda Turkey And Gravy Flavor Is Back On Shelves For Thanksgiving This Year
When it comes to Thanksgiving, it’s pretty easy to guess what will be on many people’s tables. Of course, the turkey is the centerpiece, often surrounded by mounds of stuffing and mashed potatoes. Next to that is probably a green bean casserole, dinner rolls, and cranberry sauce. But what about the drinks? Most people might go for wine or beer, but what if you’re looking for something a little more on theme?
Jones Soda, known for limited-edition odd soda flavors like applesauce and egg nog, is bringing back a flavor that goes perfectly with your Thanksgiving day spread—Turkey & Gravy Soda. This odd drink isn’t new. The soda brand added it to their collection back in 2003, but in the past decade, it has taken a hiatus. But it’s back for 2021 to honor the 25th anniversary. Over the past 20 years, Jones Soda has also come out with other Thanksgiving flavors like cranberry, mashed potatoes, and wild herb stuffing.
Wondering what it tastes like? Well, we can guess it might give bubbly and possibly sugary turkey and gravy vibes, which doesn’t sound great. But even Jones Soda themselves has said the drink is more about the gag than a delicious flavor.
But you can’t say it won’t go with your stuffing and potatoes. For the brave who do want to try this, only 35,000 bottles will be released. Currently, they are for sale in Canada and will be on shelves in the U.S. starting next week. But maybe this drink is more for collectability than for serving alongside turkey dinner.
