Jonesville track teams post top five finishes at Jon Nugent Invitational
BATH, Mich. — The Jonesville Comets found themselves facing some of the best competition in mid-Michigan on Friday, May 13. The Comets traveled to the Jon Nugent Invitational hosted by Bath High School. The Comets battled schools that included Holt, Charlotte, Haslett and Portland. The Comets had strong individual showing that helped lead the team to top five team finishes.
The Comet boys team finished in second place overall with a final team score of 97. Holt high school won the boys and girls finals. The Holt boys team finished with a final score of 166. Charlotte rounded out the top three. The Comet girls track and field team took fifth overall with a final score of 66. The Comets fell short by one point to Haslett and Portland who tied for third place. Charlotte took second place and Holt won with a final score of 137.
