Jonotthan Harrison says goodbye to Jets on Instagram

Jonotthan Harrison shared a lengthy goodbye note to all things Jets on Friday night, indicating that he’s been cut ahead of Saturday’s 4 p.m. deadline.

Harrison, who spent the last three seasons in New York, briefly recounted all the change that he’s witnessed with the Jets in an Instagram post. The center went on to write fondly of the organization, his teammates and fans.

“New Jersey and New York it’s been real!” Harrison concluded. “My journey is far from over. Just happen to be turning the page to a new chapter.”

Harrison, 29, spent the first three years of his career with the Colts before joining the Jets in 2017. He played in 40 games for New York, starting 19.

A dependable backup over the last three years, Harrison is a surprise cut considering the emphasis the Jets have placed on the offensive line this season. In addition, Harrison was a well-respected veteran leader in the locker room.

With Harrison announcing his release, he joins LB James Burgess on the list of Jets cuts thus far.

“It’s been a hell of a 3 years,” Harrison wrote, “and I enjoyed every single day of being a JET!
