The Rams will have yet another favorable matchup this weekend when they host the winless Lions at SoFi Stadium. It’s a game between one of the best teams in the NFC and arguably the worst, especially when looking at their respective offenses.

Of course, the biggest storylines will be about Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff facing their former teams, but Jordan Fuller isn’t letting that narrative get in the way of the Rams’ task at hand: beating Detroit.

He said on the “Jim Rome Show” that the Lions are better than their 0-6 record indicates and the Rams can’t take them lightly.

“Well, I know they’re a team that’s better than their record,” he said. “I know they’ve had a couple of heartbreaking losses that could’ve gone either way. They have some talented players over there – a couple players that I know, for sure, especially JG. He’s just a really talented player, gives his all to his teammates. I know we’re going to get his best swing for sure on Sunday, so we’ve definitely got to be ready for that one.”

Not to bring up a sore subject, but the Rams have been in a similar situation as this one before. They hosted the 0-13 Jets in Week 15 of last season and lost 23-20, handing New York its first win of the year. This Lions team isn’t very good, but to Fuller’s point, they lost to the Ravens in Week 3 on Justin Tucker’s record-setting 66-yard field goal as time expired, and nearly beat the Vikings in Week 5, but Greg Joseph hit a 54-yarder as time expired to win it in that game, too.

The Rams are a far better team, but they shouldn’t look past the Lions just because of their 0-6 record.
