Jordan Peele has teased his new movie after it was delayed beyond 2024.

The director has had critical and commercial success with Get Out, Us, and Nope, but he recently stated that his fourth film might end up being his favourite.

Appearing on the podcast Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend, Peele spoke about the delays the project faced over the last year, stating: "It's been an interesting year because the writers' strike had had me in a state of listening, and that's where I need to be.

"I do feel like my next project is clear to me, and I'm psyched that I have another film that, you know, could be my favorite movie if I make it right."

Details about the film are currently being kept under wraps and will likely stay that way even once production has begun, as Peele likes viewers to go into his films not knowing too much.

Another project he's involved in that is shrouded in mystery is his collaboration on an Xbox and PC exclusive video game with legendary auteur Hideo Kojima.

Peele joined Kojima onstage at The Game Awards to tease Overdose, a game that "explores the concept of testing your fear threshold, and what it means to OD on fear".

For Peele, this is a partnership he's overjoyed to be part of.

"[I'm] a huge fan of Hideo, this man is an icon," he said. "I can say from the first moment I played Metal Gear Solid 2, I knew I was experiencing the work of an artist whose craft just hits different.

"He's been an inspiration to me, and the opportunity to collaborate with him is just incredible."

Get Out is available to stream for Netflix subscribers, while Nope is available for NOW and Sky subscribers.
