RubberDucks 7, Curve 3

Jose Tena continued his recent tear and the bottom half of the order scored four runs and had four RBIs in a home victory at Canal Park on Saturday.

Trailing 1-0 entering the bottom of the fourth inning, the Ducks (44-35) scored the next seven runs of the game to take a 7-1 lead after eight innings. Tena ripped a double and a solo home run to lead the way. Jhonkensy Noel, Raynel Delgado, Chris Roller and Julian Escobedo combined to go 6-for-14 with four runs and four RBIs. Escobedo nailed a two-run home run in the seventh to give the Ducks some insurance runs.

RubberDucks pitching worked around trouble all night, giving up eight hits and six walks but limited the damage by stranding 12 runners on base. Zach Hart (1-0) earned the win with 2⅓ innings of scoreless relief, striking out three.
