Jose Trevino excelling in New York and a look at Corpus Christi products in pro baseball

There has been little movement in the professional baseball ranks among players with ties to the Coastal Bend since Jose Trevino's preseason trade from the Rangers to the Yankees.

Trevino, a John Paul II product, is already establishing himself as a fan favorite in the Bronx, thanks to his defense, likeability and several clutch moments at the plate.

Carroll grad Michael Berglund is now in High-A Bowling Green, moving up a level in the Tampa Bay Rays system. The catcher, who also spent a season at Texas Tech, began the year in Charleston.

Here is a look at how area players with Corpus Christi ties are faring more than one month into the season.
