There was one dust up that happened during Week 3’s Buffalo Bills-Miami Dolphins matchup that stood out amongst the rest.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen and Dolphins defensive lineman Christian Wilkins got in a mix up in the middle of a pile up. Something evidently went down… with Allen making the most obvious suggestion.

On the field, it was clear that Allen had grabbed Wilkins’ facemask and said something to him. It drew a penalty flag.

Upon seeing that penalty marker thrown, Allen quickly gestured that Wilkins grabbed something near the area of his groin… The replay:

With the dust settled on the 21-19 Miami win, a few days later, Allen still was not too happy about it. During his weekly Tuesday appearance on the podcast Kyle Brandt’s Basement, Allen reflected.

“It is what it is. He is a competitor. He’s been known for that, going back to the college. I should know that and shouldn’t let it get the best of me, but sometimes you see red and things like that happen,” Allen said. “I’m not here to make any claims or throw anybody under the bus, but I shouldn’t have let the emotions get the best of me.”

Shortly after the final whistle, Wilson conducted a CBS Sports on-field interview. He was asked about the altercation and downplayed it.

“It just happens. Josh is a competitor, I’m a competitor,” he said. “The game is on the line. We’re going back and forth. That’s just how it is. That’s how it is with division rivals. With alpha males, that’s how it goes.”

Allen did his best to not toss any gas on a fire for the Dolphins. However, it’s clear that the QB feels a certain type of way about it and he might be all the more motivated the next time Buffalo sees Miami in December.
