Parade of Homes Offers So Much More This Year!

The 59th edition of the Parade of Homes begins Saturday at The Woodlands & The Villas of GentleBrook development in Hartville.

This year’s show has seven brand new homes – all showing off the latest in new home interior design, floor plans, technology, green building and landscaping. These fully decorated homes are priced to start at $550,000 and feature a variety of architectural styles. This is a show that will appeal to all generations of consumers from first-time home buyers to empty nesters, and especially those interested in building a custom home.

This year, the Parade is so much more than just looking at new homes. We have a huge variety of food, arts, crafts, educational seminars and entertainment for those who attend. Our programming includes the following:

Sept. 16 – Bluegrass Music by the Magnificent Goat Brothers and street vendors Everyday Custom Apparel & Roots Home Store.

Sept. 17 – Acoustic guitar with soaring melodies from Samuel John. We’ll also be serving Almost Heaven Ice Cream and Specialty Coffees courtesy of Culligans Water.

Sept. 18 – Enjoy an All-American cookout featuring hot dogs and cookies courtesy of Hartville Hardware & Lumber, Frigidaire Appliances, & Hartville Kitchen.

Sept. 19 – Blues, Soul, Jazz & R&B music by Blue Lunch.

Sept. 20 – Music by Prime – the acoustic trio performing pop, country & oldies. We’ll also have a charcuterie board with meats, cheese and other food prepared by Naturally Snackish.

Sept. 21 – More charcuterie by Naturally Snackish… this time we feature dessert items and specialty coffee from Culligans Water!

Sept. 22 – Solo guitarist Paul Gregory Whitt joins us to provide musical entertainment. We will also have cooking demonstrations and samples from 2nds By Chef Scott.

Sept. 23 – It’s Pumpkin Day! Our Parade is going to be all things Pumpkin. Bring a carved, decorated, or painted pumpkin to the show and be eligible to win gift cards to Hartville Kitchen, courtesy of Consumers National Bank.  At 1:00pm we’ll have a Fall Floral Design presentation from designs By Kimberly of Cummings Florist.

Sept. 24 – Samuel John returns to provide musical energy and Culligans Water will be serving specialty coffees.

So, as you can see – we have something for everyone, no matter your taste. Come on out and enjoy food, music, crafts, and beautiful house design for an afternoon or evening.

What else does the Parade offer to attendees?

Award-winning home builders – This year’s Parade has seven homes from six different builders: Grisez Homes, Hostetler Family Homes (2), Lawver Homes, Patrick Long Homes (GentleBrook), Rea Custom Homes and Vega Construction. These companies are all long-time members of our Association and have received numerous awards over the years, including the People’s Choice Award, House of the Year, and Builder of the Year. You will see their expertise and craftsmanship in every aspect of these artfully constructed homes.

A beautiful development – The Woodlands is located off Woodland St. SW between Prospect Ave. S (State Route 43) and Market Ave. N. It’s a scenic environment with country charm but also with city convenience. The Woodlands is adjacent to many amenities like the Lake schools, Stark County Library, Lake Community YMCA, and an abundant variety of shopping.

House design – The latest floor plan designs are showcased at the Parade. If you have been searching for a home, you know that one-story living and open floor plans are popular and in high demand. Several Parade homes are open-style ranches that are great for empty nesters or families with children. There are two-story homes in the Parade as well.

Interior decorating – All seven of these homes are professionally decorated. These are beautiful creations with the most trending colors and decorating ideas. Come see for yourself.

Technology – Each year we are amazed at the features that manufacturers in our industry create to make life easier for us and how they incorporate those features into home design. This year is no exception. If you attend, you are certain to see at least one great innovation you wish you had thought of or had in your current home.

Landscaping/outdoor living – Wait until you see the screened-in porches and outdoor living patios in this collection of Parade homes!

Ideas and inspiration – Come spend an afternoon or evening with us at the Parade and get all the ideas you need for your next home or remodeling project. No matter what you are planning in the way of building or remodeling, a trip to the Parade of Homes ensures that you’ve covered all the bases for style, colors, design, and budget.
